7th Grade Highlights

7th grade has been a crazy year, and now that it's coming to a close, I'm going to list a few highlights of the year. These are not in any particular order... they were all amazing.

1) Choir- I had a blast this year in the Beginning Women Choir at my school. It was a completely new experience for me, and really made me think twice, or three times, about singing for the rest of my life. Between learning how to solfege, sight-read, and repeat measures numerous times, I really was challenged. I had a great time and it really was something I could and will NEVER forget.

2) Band- Again, a huge part of my 7th grade year. I played flute and enjoyed it a ton! My teacher, Mr. Brody was an inspiration to me and amist all his corny humor and random stories, he was a great teacher to everyone. I can't wait until next year, when all of the band- Brass, Woodwind, and Percussion get to practice together!!

3) Friends- This year has been a very important year in the friendship department in my life. I have lost a lot of friends due to stress and never- ending drama. The truth is, it has really proved to me who my real friends are and how extemely blessed I am. I have many great friends that I got very close to this year, such as my track friends, church friends, P.E. friends, band friends, choir friends, math class friends, and AWESOME neighbors. :)

4) Talent Show- This year in the school talent show, Panther Idol, I performed twice. I performed once with my friend Paige singing One and the Same, and once by myself singing Free to be Me. This was a crazy experience. I get nervous everytime I think about it. I practiced hard and long, and on the day of the talent show, God blessed me by letting me win! I was SOO excited when it was announced, and for the rest of the day, I never stopped smiling. God sure does have amazing ways of proving himself to us!

5) Honor Roll- I was one of the 7 or so kids in my grade to get onto the All-A's Honor Roll all year long. This was a HUGE accomplishment for me. I worked and studied hard all year for my grades and was glad to find out my work was enough. I did awesome on my semester tests these last few weeks and that definitely helped me out.

These are just a few of the ways that God has shown me He is watching over me this year and I know He will never fail me. ♥

A new favorite saying: "Dance with God, He'll let the perfect man cut in." :)

Update on my life

As I said, I know I'm not being faithful, so I need to catch you up on everything that's happened recently.

Ok, my birthday was a few weeks ago and we celebrated by traveling up to Mission Arlington in Arlington, TX

Mission Arlington was a blast!! I met tons of new people, loved on ADORABLE children, and got closer to God.

I am also on the track team. I am the only 7th grade hurdler in my school and one of the few in my district. I'm so blessed to have placed at the district meet, and can't wait 'til next year.

Lastly, I recently signed up for the school talent show- twice. One with a friend singing One and the Same by Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato and one by myself singing Free To Be Me(!!!). I'm really excited to be showing off a God-given gift and I hope I glorify His name!!!

I'll try to post some pics of these later, but for now...
Erin Loves You!!

wow, sorry.

OK: I know I'm not all that faithful to this blog. But, I'm trying! I'm really sorry if you have followed me even though there's not really anything to follow! I'm gonna go work on some posts now, so I gotta go. Just thought I'd apologize beforehand!! Have a splendid day!!

Get to the Manger!!!

My mom directs our children's church choir musical. Ryan, Lauren, Sheridan, and I have all been in it forever. It is for kids from 1st to 6th grade, so Sheridan's the only one young enough now. I asked my mom if she needed some help anyway and was assigned "mall enployee"! Here are some pics of the musical! Enjoy!

Preparing for Christmas!

My sisters and I made some sugar cookie Christmas trees out of star shaped cookies. We dyed icing to decorate with. Here are some pics from the fun night!
